Her first fashion venture was in 2011 with Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. She designed denim and lingerie lines. Two years later, in 2013, she presented a collection for River Island during London Fashion Week.
And then… along came Puma.
The sportswear brand and Riri officially announced their partnership in 2014. In September 2015, her first collection for Puma was presented. The first shoes they launched were sold out in less than 3 hours of the pre-sale!
One year later, the singer presented two clothing lines in collaboration with the label: the first one during New York Fashion Week and the second one – during Paris Fashion Week. Rihanna’s collections for the brand are inspired by Japanese street culture. The designs (shoes, clothing, bags and accessories) are bold and naïve, they mix street style with sports vibes.
In 2017, she also launched the cosmetics company Fenty Beauty. 2018 was the year for her lingerie brand “Savage X Fenty”.
This year, Riri and LVMH confirmed they will launch a luxury brand together. Fenty will be the first brand the conglomerate will be launching from scratch since 1987.
