You are well aware of the fact that this time of the year is unofficially known as the awards months. We had the Screen Actors Guild Awards (late January), the Golden Globes (early February), the British Academy Film Awards (last weekend), soon we are expecting the one and only Academy Awards. But now it’s time for the Grammy Awards for 2019!
Even though the Grammy ceremony took place more than a week ago, the looks of the night were so dazzling and extravagant that we simply have to mention some of them!
We start the list with Cardi B. The singer who was nominated for 7 categories (and won the one for Best Rap Album with “Invasion of privacy”) wore an architectural masterpiece from Thierry Mugler’s Fall 1995 couture collection.
Lady Gaga, the star which was born, not only sparkled in Celine by Hedi Slimane, but also won the award for Best Pop Solo Performance for her song “Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Goin’?” and the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the duet with Bradley Cooper in “Shallow”.
The bad girl Janelle Monae rocked a dress by the bad boy Jean Paul Gaultier.
Tracee Ellis Ross looked stylish in her Ralph & Russo harlequin green ensemble.
Jennifer Lopez also went for a Ralph & Russo design. Did you see her hat?
The newly engaged to a Mr. Orlando Bloom Katy Parry picked a pink and quite unusual Balmain dress.
Kylie Jenner sported a pale pink outfit, also created by Balmain.
What happened with the gentlemen’s closets?
Post Malone was another celebrity that chose pink: jacket + a pair of trousers.
Leon Bridges wore a yellow Bode suit. And he won the prize for Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Bet Ain’t Worth The Hand”.
So now you got the idea – even if you don’t like their music, you have got to like their outfits!
