In order to say a proper goodbye to 2017, we created a small list of the most stylish moments of the year.

  1. Kate Middleton, full stop

Kate Middleton has always been so glamorous that we absolutely adore her. One of our favourite stylish moments of 2017 was her appearance at the BAFTA awards where she wore Alexander McQueen. Kate is currently giving a third round of maternity style while expecting her third child in April.

  1. MET GALA 2017

This edition of the MET Gala was the first one to honour a living designer – Rei Kawakubo and her brand Comme des Garçons. The gala was a blast – not from the past, but from the future. Rihanna walked one of the most emblematic looksof the night: a design from Kawacubo’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection.

  1. Stranger galaxies and top brands

Luxury brands paying tribute to TV series or fantastic space opera series? Yes, it is already happening! Louis Vuitton sent down the runway a T-shirt dedicated to Stranger Things, and Christian Louboutin made a special line of Star Wars shoes.

  1. Impractical shoes to the rescue (literally)

Melania Trump wore what are considered to be the most impractical shoes for a visit of the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. What does a pair of exotic stilettos imply to people that have just lost their homes, one might ask? We still don’t know the answer.

  1. Sustainable decisions

Fortunately, our list ends with pleasant news in terms of sustainable living: three of the world’s most iconic brands – Gucci, Jimmy Choo and Michael Kors – decided to go fur-free. With this decision, they join Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Armani.
